Gosh, those new Macs are LOVELY! Macbook Air? FABULOUS. Just like I thought my Macbook was gorgeous when I bought it 18 months ago. Now it is stained, dirty and cracked where the magnetic closure catches rest, subject to major battery problems and I am certain it is meant to be like that. To make me WANT A NEW ONE. To hell with this, I’m going to buy a Panasonic Toughbook, built to withstand nuclear attack! And user-serviceable with a CHISEL!

Anything where the battery (never covered by a warranty) is not user replaceable should be regarded as no more than a disposable fashion accessory and be priced commensurately.

Good lord Tom, that mean’s you’d be giving up OS X and have to use Vista or upgrade to the older XP. What in the world do you do with your MacBook? I’ve always found them to be much more durable than the HP laptops I’ve had to use. As cool as the MacBook Air is, I question wether it’s worth the price, especially if it’s going to be your only or main computer. Nah, use the MacBook as your knock around and get yourself a tricked out MacBook Pro. 😉
