Tom Morton show in full flight from The Radiocroft (well, actually, while a record was playing)

The Tom Morton Show is brought to you by BBC Radio Scotland. Online, on FM, Medium wave, on your digital telly and by clamping a wet piece of string between two amalgam fillings (but not during electrical storms, please).

  1. Could you not be bothered shaving then?I love the intimacy and romantisism (sp?) of the Tom Morton Show – the idea of one man in a room in a croft at the top of Scotland, speaking and playing records to thousands of people but yet feeling as though you are having a chat with just the one person. Does that make sense to anyone else other than me?Hubby doesn’t like some of the music you play but I just tell him to shut up because I point blank refuse to listen to the plonker (can I say that?) on Radio 2 who’s on at the same time. When hubby’s at home (still) painting the kitchen, he can listen to who he likes but when we’re in the office together – my choice!Fighting your corner as ever ….

  2. Is that a typewriter on the top shelf over your right shoulder? I remember those; in fact I might have owned a few in my time. But surely hacking in a freelance way would be much more efficient using one of those new-fangled word processor things…
