At a party  in Partick

She said it was time to  go 

I asked her to come with me

She said no

Had the keys in my pocket

I decided to drive

Three sheets to the windscreen 

Unwanted dead or alive

That was when I was sinking

Very nearly sunk

Very possibly drinking

Quite possibly drunk

I was under the weather

I was out on the town

Doing the subcrawl 

Going round and around

Kelvinbridge escalator 

Closed for repairs

I sat at the bottom all night

Should’ve taken the stairs

Columbia down in London

Checked in for the night

Woke up in the morning 

Something wasn’t right

Everything was moving

My back was in some pain

And I wasn’t in London

I was on the Aberdeen train

That was when I was sinking

Very nearly sunk

Very possibly drinking

Quite possibly drunk
