Penguins in Greenland

As read by Tom

And so to Greenland my fellow Americans

Were going in to save the penguins

Don’t tell me there are no penguins there

I’ve seen them flying through the air

With their rainbow beaks and their stubby wings

They’re really very beautiful things

Like me though obviously I’m taller

And I can’t fly as my hands are smaller

We’ll keep the pastries get rid of the Danes

Break the Greenlanders’ colonial chains

Seal up the volcanoes and harness the power

all the main cities will have a Trump Tower

It’ll be paradise, new American soil

And underneath plenty of minerals and oil

And that’s just the start. We’ll take Iceland and Sweden

Scandinavia will be a new Garden of Eden

Russia will have Finland, and we’ll share a border

We will establish a new world order

It will happen when I give the word

Every enslaved penguin will be free as a bird

    Brilliant writing

  2. Excellent. A moment of relief from head-wagging despair. Reminiscent (to me at least) of Randy Newman’s ‘Political Science’.

  3. Surreal and prescient at one and the same time. 😦
